A Typical Day

I’m getting into a routine. Our complex, not our camp got hit by a mortar. No one was hurt.

I woke up at 0620. Walked to the bathroom to start the day. After getting dressed, boots uniform and all I headed ( walked ) to the laundry to drop off a bag. You can pick it up late the next day. I then walked to the DFAC ( dinning facility ) for breakfast. After breakfast I walked to the dental clinic. I try to get there around 0800. We start sick call at 0830. We usually finish by 1200. We walk to the DFAC for lunch and walk back to the clinic. At 1300 we start our scheduled patients and finish around 1630. We usually get out about 1700 and walk to the DFAC for dinner, don’t want to miss a meal. After dinner we walk back to our rooms and let dinner digest, do some emails, clean the dust. We then walk to the gym, work out, and walk back to our rooms. We then walk to the shower trailer, and back to our room to end our day. As you can see, walking is a big part of our day. Some time after dinner, or on Sunday, which is my day off, we walk to the PX. Did I tell you, we are supposed to do PT ( exercise ) 5 times a week? We usually do more for lack of anything else to do at night.

My next blog will explain all the pockets in our ACU’s. Stay safe. MAJ B
